Ejectors

Cascade's High Performance Ejectors are valuable tools for obtaining additional water supplies from sources that would normally be difficult or impossible to reach. The Ejector will pick up more than twice as much water as is used to activate them. This allows water to be obtained from as much as 70 ft. below the pumper or from sources several hundred feet from the pump.

Cascade’s ejectors are made from cast aluminum and anodized for increased wear and corrosion resistance.

• Obtaining a water supply from distances up to 70 ft. below the pump
• Filling tanks from pools, creeks, etc., at long distances from the pump
• Removing water from basements

EJECTOR TECHNOLOGY

Wildland firefighters can draft water from a natural water source using suction or ejector drafting. Ejectors can draft water over longer distances and at lifts greater than 22 ft., well beyond the capability of suction drafting, extending the range of standard engines in wildland firefighting to obtain water sources normally classed as inaccessible. An ejector integrates a nozzle and a venturi, a narrowing of a piped waterway, to create suction that picks up additional water from a natural or portable water source.

Attaching the suction port on the High Performance Ejector to a Foot Valve & Strainer (sold separately) is recommended to prevent the loss of prime and keep foreign objects from entering the water supply.
