The Council Tool Pulaski Wildland Firefighting Tool combines a traditional axe blade with a mattock-style grubbing blade for fireline construction, chopping, digging, grubbing, and clearing vegetation. A longstanding wildland fire hand tool, the Pulaski allows crews to cut woody fuels and work soil with a single tool.
Offered in both the standard Council Tool Pulaski and an NFES / U.S. Forest Service-specification version. Both feature a 3.75 lb. Pulaski head and 36" American hickory handle, while the NFES version incorporates additional Forest Service material, dimensional, sharpening, and finish requirements.
