Cascade High Performance Water Ejectors

Cascade High Performance Water Ejectors extend the drafting capabilities of fire pumps by using pressurized water and venturi action to draw additional water from natural or portable water sources. They are especially useful where conventional suction drafting is limited by elevation, distance, or access.
Manufactured by Cascade Fire Equipment from cast aluminum, each ejector is anodized for increased wear and corrosion resistance. Depending on operating pressure and setup, Cascade ejectors can obtain water from sources as much as 70 feet below the pump and from water supplies located several hundred feet away.

HOW EJECTOR DRAFTING WORKS
A water ejector combines a nozzle with a venturi to create suction. Pressurized water from the fire pump passes through the ejector and creates a low-pressure area that draws additional water into the system from a natural or portable water source.
This allows ejector drafting to reach water sources at greater vertical lifts and longer distances than conventional suction drafting alone.
APPLICATIONS
- Drafting from remote ponds, creeks, pools, and other static water sources
- Obtaining water from sources below the practical lift of conventional suction drafting
- Filling apparatus or portable tanks from distant water sources
- Wildland firefighting water supply operations
- Removing water from basements and other difficult-to-access areas
RECOMMENDED ACCESSORY
Cascade recommends attaching a compatible Foot Valve & Strainer to the ejector suction port. The foot valve helps maintain prime while the strainer helps prevent debris and foreign material from entering the water supply. Foot Valve & Strainer sold separately.
