HOW WE GOT STARTED

Cascade Fire Equipment opened its doors in 1985. After retiring from Western Fire Equipment in San Francisco and moving to Medford, Oregon, Dan Lloyd and his wife, Laura started the business in their garage as “something to keep them busy” in their retirement. The company grew, family joined the business, and eventually we moved into a warehouse- then another, and still another, and finally two warehouses, where we are today, employing 50 people, manufacturing 60% of the products we sell, and doing business worldwide. Dan’s sons and grandsons now manage Cascade Fire Equipment and strive to live up to Dan’s outstanding example of hard work, leadership, and integrity.

WHERE WE ARE TODAY

Today, as wildfires rage across the West and other parts of the country, and as weather conditions and fire policies change, we are resourcing the latest technologies to develop the clothing, tools, and equipment needed to fight today’s fires.

OUR PRODUCTS

At Cascade Fire Equipment, we produce NFPA certified protective clothing using new fire resistant fabrics with improved comfort, durability, and protection. We manufacture tools and equipment with strong, lightweight materials using precision machines and protective processes, so you can fight the fire with quality, dependable gear. We design and build custom Slip-on units with premium materials and superior craftsmanship that deliver you to remote fires armed with an unmatched firefighting machine.
